Use Odor

to Repel Pests

The Invisible Fence

Fox and bobcats spray their urine very often to tell other animals that they have ownership of an area and that they are warning you to stay out. And, everyone has seen dogs mark their territory when they lift their leg and pee on a tree or bush. Cats regularly straighten their tail and spay their urine to send a message to other cats that they own this small part of the planet.

These actions are deliberate and are an invisible fence that keeps many trespassers out.

It is easy for you to build an invisible fence to keep pests away including deer and other animals.

Flowers of Sulfur Odor:

It is reported to us that a small cup of “flowers of sulfur” odor burned in a crawl space will get rid of a skunk, groundhog, or other pest out so that you can seal up the opening afterwards. It is also reported that the sulfur smell goes away quickly. You get it from a garden store or find it on the internet.

Ammonia:

Reminds some pests of urine

Animal Urine:

Fox or bobcat urine is a very effective deterrent when sprayed on bushes or trees or on the grouns. Commercially available, it repels many animals.

Human Urine:

Collect your pee in a cup. Then soak your urine on a rag and place it in the rabbit hole or mole tunnel or on a bush, wherever the problem is.

Mothballs:

The old kind. Scatter them around your RV or car or basement or attic and let them do their work day after day.

Fabric Softener Sheets:

Place them in inconspicuous places.
